About The Position
The Southwest Louisiana Regional Planning Commission is seeking a collaborative, analytical, and motivated transportation planning professional. This position offers the opportunity to help implement adopted transportation plans, priorities, investments, and mobility initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and advance implementation of the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
- Monitor and advance implementation of the 2027–2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
- Analyze demographic, transportation, safety, and financial data.
- Monitor and support travel demand modeling efforts.
- Monitor and manage traffic count programs and transportation data collection.
- Collaborate on development of Designated Arterial Corridor Plans and the stakeholder engagement process.
- Collaborate with local governments on short-term and long-term transportation planning and development of Regional Transportation Plans.
- Facilitate preparation of transportation project implementation tools and pilot programs for evaluation.
