This position performs full-performance level professional human resources work at the district level within the Department of Transportation in one or more areas such as recruitment, employment, employee relations, classification, compensation, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, personnel records, or related human resources functions. Work requires the use of acquired knowledge and analytical techniques in a variety of job assignments. Has working knowledge of and ability to interpret laws, rules, and policies related to human resources and applies this knowledge to a range of human resources issues. This position may prepare training documents, as well as train, assign, and review the work of clerical staff in the human resources section. Distinguished from Human Resources Generalist 1 by the complexity, broad discretion, and accountability for results. Performs work under general supervision. Performs related work as required. Pay Grade: 14
