About The Position

The Transportation Driver is a personal care team member responsible for ensuring community-sponsored scheduled transportation is provided appropriately and on time, with elder safety and security as the primary priority. The driver uses a community-owned vehicle to transport elders to and from medical appointments, activities, shopping errands, and off-site events, while providing courteous and professional customer service to elders, families, and team members. The role also includes completing routine periodic vehicle inspection checks and prioritizing elder safety and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Provide proof of personal automobile insurance.
• Be eligible to drive and pass an MVR records check.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
• Communicate with elders, families, team members, vendors, and the public.
• Meet all health requirements, including TB requirements if applicable.
• Be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Have compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to elders, families, and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
• Prioritize elder safety and satisfaction.
• Use the community-owned vehicle to transport elders to and from medical appointments, activities, shopping errands, and off-site events.
• Complete routine periodic vehicle inspection checks.
• Ensure scheduled community-sponsored transportation is implemented appropriately and on time.
