About The Position
Bell Trace Senior Living is seeking a PRN Transportation Driver to work evenings and weekends. The driver transports residents in a company van or bus to appointments and other outside events and destinations, as directed or scheduled, while ensuring resident safety and comfort. The role requires dependable route navigation, compliance with traffic laws and company policies, vehicle upkeep, schedule management, and effective coordination with team members. The driver contributes to reliable transportation services that meet quality and safety standards. Requirements
- Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
- Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
- Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems.
- Physical ability to load and unload residents if required.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- Previous professional driving experience in a similar role.
- Good customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly to transport residents to designated locations.
- Consult appropriate departments daily to determine or confirm transportation needs and schedules.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is in good condition.
- Load and unload residents safely according to written procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, incidents, and delays.
- Maintain records required to bill residents for transportation services and forward them to the business office.
- Communicate with team members to coordinate schedules and resolve issues.
