About The Position

The Transportation Driver transports residents in a company van or bus to and from appointments, outside events, and other destinations as directed or scheduled, ensuring their safety and comfort. The role requires a dependable driver who can navigate routes while following traffic laws and company policies. The driver supports operational logistics by maintaining the vehicle, managing schedules, and communicating with team members to coordinate pickups and drop-offs. The position contributes to the organization by providing reliable transportation that meets quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
• Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
• Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems.
• Physical ability to load and unload residents if required.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Previous professional driving experience in a similar role.
• Good customer service skills to interact professionally with clients.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly to transport residents to designated locations.
• Consult appropriate departments daily to determine or confirm transportation needs and schedules.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
• Load and unload residents safely according to written procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, incidents, and delays.
• Maintain records required to bill residents for transportation services and forward them to the business office.
• Communicate with team members to coordinate schedules and resolve issues.
