About The Position

Campbell Street is seeking a reliable and responsible Transportation Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for individuals or goods, depending on the role. The driver operates vehicles and ensures passenger or cargo comfort and safety while following traffic laws, safety regulations, designated routes, schedules, and company policies. The position calls for strong driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service. The role is based in Lenox, Iowa, and is part-time, with a day shift and an hourly pay rate of $20.00. The driver must have a clean driving record and be eligible for company insurance based on an MVR check. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license are required. Previous driver or transportation-related experience is preferred but not required. Depending on the vehicle, a CDL or other certifications may be necessary. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must be eligible for company insurance based on an MVR check.
Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and driving techniques.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to navigate using maps, GPS, or other navigation tools.
Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
Depending on the vehicle, a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or other required certifications may be necessary.
Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
Ability to lift, load, and unload items weighing up to 50 pounds as required.
Ability to bend, twist, and climb to assist with passenger or cargo handling.
Ability to perform vehicle inspections and minor maintenance, such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels.
Good vision and hearing, and physical capability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow.

Previous experience as a driver or in a transportation-related role is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a vehicle to transport passengers or goods to various locations while following designated routes, schedules, and timeframes.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking for mechanical issues, fuel levels, and cleanliness.
Follow all safety regulations and traffic laws during transportation.
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, and load or unload luggage, packages, or mobility aids when necessary.
Provide customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping ensure a comfortable and safe journey.
Keep accurate records of trips, including start and end times, mileage, and fuel usage.
Immediately report vehicle malfunctions or accidents and complete required paperwork.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and upkeep, keeping it presentable and in good working condition.
Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors about delays, accidents, or other issues during transportation.
Follow company policies concerning breaks, rest periods, and work schedules to comply with industry regulations.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with passengers or clients.
