About The Position

Sevita is hiring a Transportation Driver for its Adult Day Health Program at Dache Adult Day Center in Brighton, Massachusetts. The driver helps older adults and people with rehabilitation needs, dementia, or intellectual and developmental disabilities access the day center, appointments, and community programs. The role also supports center staff with participant care, activities, meals, and daily operations between transportation routes, while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment. This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. There are no evening or on-call shifts. The wage is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be bilingual in English and Russian.
Must be at least 21 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Full, valid Massachusetts driver's license held for at least two years.
Valid vehicle registration and insurance.
At least two years of experience driving a 14-passenger van or bus, or providing passenger transportation.
Must pass a required background check and drug screening before hire.
Compassionate, dependable, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Safely transport older adults and individuals with rehabilitation needs, dementia, or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Provide transportation between participants' homes, the day center, appointments, and community programs.
Assist passengers with boarding, securing themselves in vehicles, and exiting safely.
Perform daily vehicle inspections, keep vehicles clean, and report maintenance needs.
Support day center staff with participant care, activities, meals, and daily operations between transportation routes.
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all participants.
