About The Position

Community LIFE is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) that helps older adults live safely and independently in their homes and communities. Through specialized Day Centers and an interdisciplinary approach, the organization provides comprehensive medical care, social services, transportation, meals, activities, rehabilitation services, and more. The team focuses on empowering older adults, preserving dignity, and enhancing quality of life. Adult Day Center Aides assist elderly participants with activities of daily living, recreational activities, and personal care services in the Adult Day Center and, as needed, at participants’ residences. The role is based in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and follows a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., plus eight weekend hours per month. Pay starts at $15.50 per hour, with higher pay based on verifiable caregiving experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Discretion, tact, patience, and good judgment.
Empathetic and compassionate attitude when caring for elderly people.
Ability to understand and follow non-technical verbal and written directions, record messages, and keep records.
Ability to get along well with others and gain participants’ cooperation.
Physical and emotional ability to carry out assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

Caregiving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
