About The Position

BRT, Inc. is hiring a full-time Transportation Dispatch/Router to coordinate daily deliveries, optimize routes, support driving team members, and keep customers informed. The role focuses on communication, teamwork, sound decision-making, and ensuring deliveries reach their destinations safely and efficiently. This position has a 9-hour day shift. A hybrid work arrangement is available after initial training. The role is based within a reasonable commuting distance of BRT’s home office in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience, preferably in transportation or logistics.
Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to make sound independent decisions and resolve conflicts professionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accurate data entry.
A customer-service mindset and genuine interest in helping others succeed.
Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of BRT’s home office in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate daily deliveries to support efficient routing, timely service, and customer satisfaction.
Support driving team members with delivery information, directions, loading details, equipment requirements, and on-demand assistance.
Provide customers with timely updates and respond professionally when schedules or delivery needs change.
Monitor customer inventory using Lifeline and enter orders accurately into CSI Road.
Follow DOT, FMCSA Hours of Service regulations, and BRT safety policies.
Communicate and collaborate with customers, dispatch colleagues, and driving team members.
Acknowledge new loads and updates within 15 minutes, particularly for key customers, and provide meaningful follow-up within 60 minutes.
Support continuous improvement in routing efficiency, service reliability, and dispatch performance.
