About The Position

Alpas Wellness Centers is seeking a Transportation Coordinator for its residential treatment center in La Plata, Maryland. The role safely transports patients and staff to treatment, medical appointments, and other authorized destinations. It also supports facility operations by processing patient belongings, conducting and documenting safety rounds, and assisting the clinical team when transportation needs are low. The position is hourly and full-time, with a schedule of 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and alternating weekend coverage. Compensation is $22 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
CPR certification or willingness to participate in training to receive certification.
If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

Safely and punctually transport patients and/or staff to assigned destinations.
Complete and document daily vehicle inspections.
Communicate transportation, safety, or vehicle concerns to leadership.
Coordinate patient movement with admissions, clinical, and nursing teams.
Process patient belongings during admissions and visitation, including search and debugging procedures.
Conduct patient rounds and complete associated documentation.
Assist with de-escalation or re-engagement needs as necessary.
Support departmental operations during periods of low transportation activity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
