About The Position

Alpas Wellness Centers is hiring a Transportation Coordinator at its La Plata, Maryland residential treatment center. The role safely transports patients and staff to treatment, medical appointments, and other authorized destinations, and supports facility operations through patient belongings processing, safety rounds, and assistance to the clinical team when transportation needs are low. The schedule is 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with alternating weekend coverage. The position is hourly and full time, paying $22 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
CPR certification or willingness to participate in training to receive certification.
If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport patients and/or staff safely and punctually to assigned destinations.
Complete and document daily vehicle inspections.
Communicate transportation, safety, and vehicle concerns to leadership.
Coordinate patient movement with admissions, clinical, and nursing teams.
Process patient belongings during admissions and visitation, including search and debugging procedures.
Perform patient rounds and complete associated documentation.
Assist with de-escalation or re-engagement needs as necessary.
Support departmental operations during periods of low transportation activity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
