Transportation Construction Inspector
About The Position
Erdman Anthony is hiring a Transportation Construction Inspector to inspect and document a variety of construction activities, confirming that contractor work complies with project specifications. The role includes reviewing and interpreting contract and job specifications and maintaining daily paperwork according to client requirements. Inspectors travel to project sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including different shifts and overtime as needed. Requirements
- At least 2 years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection experience; or at least 4 years of highway or bridge construction experience; or an associate degree; or a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Ability to perform math calculations.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk several miles per day, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work various shifts, including overtime as needed.

- NICET Highway Construction Level II certification.
- PennDOT concrete certification.
- NECEPT bituminous certification.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and document a wide variety of construction activities to confirm contractor work complies with specifications.
- Review and interpret contract and job specifications.
- Maintain daily paperwork in accordance with clients’ requirements.
- Travel to project sites.
