About The Position

ATCS’s Construction Services group is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (TCIS) to join its team in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas. The role serves as Lead Inspector for transportation construction projects involving highways, bridges, environmental work, traffic, and facilities. The position oversees contractor work, verifies compliance with contract documents and safe construction practices, documents project activity, and reports progress to the Project Engineer. The position pays $29.58 to $33.82 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and is eligible for overtime and an annual bonus targeted at 2% of annualized salary. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits coverage beginning on the first day of the month following their start date. Requirements

• Meet the minimum experience and certification criteria for PennDOT Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor 1.
• Knowledge of PennDOT Road and Bridge specifications and standards.
• Knowledge of mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Proficiency in Site Manager or other project management software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Inspector on transportation construction inspections for highway, bridge, environmental, traffic, and facilities projects.
• Write daily progress reports.
• Oversee contractor work crews to ensure compliance with contract documents and verify that safe construction practices are used to produce quality results.
• Read and interpret contract documents.
• Document materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustments.
• Report on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer using standardized reporting.
• Calculate and determine pay quantities.
