About The Position

Hill International is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector in Allentown or Philadelphia. The inspector performs daily construction inspections within an assigned discipline to ensure work complies with project plans and specifications, observes workmanship and materials for conformance with standards, identifies field issues, and documents inspections and related reports.

Requirements

• At least one year of PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector 1 (TCI-1) or higher.
• Possess at least one of the following certifications: PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification; NECEPT Field Technician Certification; or NICET Level II Certification or higher in Highway Construction.
• NICET certifications must be in Highway Construction unless special circumstances involving other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspection of construction work within an assigned discipline to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Proactively alert project management professionals to issues that may arise in the field.
• Provide solutions to mitigate field issues.
• Observe field work to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards.
• Complete daily inspection reports and other reports.
