About The Position
Hill International is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector in Allentown and Philadelphia. The role involves inspecting construction work within an assigned discipline to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications, observing field work for workmanship and materials, alerting project management professionals to field issues, helping mitigate problems, and documenting inspections and related reports. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements
- At least one year of PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector 1 (TCI-1) or higher.
- Possess at least one of the following certifications: PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification, NECEPT Field Technician Certification, or NICET Level II Certification or higher in Highway Construction.
- NICET certifications must be in Highway Construction unless special circumstances involving other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of construction work within an assigned discipline to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Proactively alert project management professionals to issues that may arise in the field.
- Provide solutions to mitigate field problems.
- Observe field work to ensure workmanship and materials meet applicable standards.
- Document daily inspection reports and other reports.
