The Allentown-based Construction Management Team is looking for Transportation Construction Inspection professionals for projects in PennDOT's District 3-0 region (Union County). The role involves applying standard inspection procedures to ensure structural quality, general safety, and compliance with plans, specifications, and codes during and after construction. Immigration sponsorship is not available, except for TN visa candidates.
Requirements
- Computer Proficiency
- Active driver's license and reliable motor vehicle
- Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
Nice To Haves
- NICET Level II or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
- NECEPT-Bituminous and Concrete Field Technician
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations.
- Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
- Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades, and/or pavement to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
- Gather and maintain record documents.
- Make field notes and computations.
