About The Position
The Transport Aide works evenings on a per diem basis in Transport Services. The role transports patients throughout various areas of the Hospital from admission through discharge, remains attentive to patients’ condition during transport, and follows departmental safety policies. The aide must have working knowledge of medical support equipment and infection control procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions.
- Ability to stand and walk for approximately 75% of work time.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients throughout the Hospital from admission until discharge.
- Remain alert to the patient’s condition during transport.
- Adhere to Departmental Safety Policy.
- Maintain working knowledge of medical support equipment and infection control procedures.
