Transport Aide
About The Position
Southcoast Health is seeking a Transport Aide at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Under the supervision of the Manager, Patient Transport or a designee, the Transport Aide performs transportation and related duties to support the efficient movement of patients and equipment and meet patient-throughput expectations. This is a per-diem position with flexible shifts and hours. Listed shifts are 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., and 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. The position requires weekend and holiday rotation, including one major summer holiday and one major winter holiday. The hourly pay range is $15.93–$22.51, with the rate determined by experience.
Requirements
- Education equal to completion of four years of high school.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- One to three months of experience.
- CPR certification must be completed during the orientation period.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for an exemption for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement after hire.
- Must work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis, including one major summer holiday and one major winter holiday.
