About The Position

FuntoNetwork is seeking a Transit Facility Design Engineer for the upcoming project opportunity: GoRaleigh Operations and Maintenance Facility Expansion. This role involves developing facility expansion requirements, coordinating site and building systems, defining fleet-maintenance workflows, and providing technical design inputs. The engineer will be responsible for tracing assigned work to the RFP scope, reviewing solicitation materials, preparing technical inputs and work products, coordinating with various project workstreams, and maintaining status records. The position requires demonstrated experience in public-sector or comparable environments, the ability to produce complete work products tied to requirements, strong documentation and coordination skills, and relevant licenses or certifications if required by the solicitation.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience performing Transit Facility Design Engineer responsibilities in public-sector, regulated, enterprise, or comparable environments.
• Ability to produce complete, reviewable work products tied to requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Strong documentation, stakeholder coordination, risk awareness, confidentiality, and deadline discipline.
• Relevant licenses, certifications, clearances, insurance, or local delivery capacity when required by the solicitation.

Responsibilities

• Develop facility expansion requirements, site and building systems coordination, fleet-maintenance workflows, and technical design inputs.
• Trace assigned work to the RFP scope, requirement or RTM row, deliverable, dependency, acceptance criterion, schedule milestone, and supporting evidence.
• Review official solicitation materials and addenda affecting this workstream; document assumptions, open items, exclusions, risks, and required client decisions.
• Prepare role-specific technical inputs, work products, estimates, implementation details, quality records, and proposal or post-award delivery evidence.
• Coordinate interfaces and handoffs with project management, business analysis, technical, field, quality, compliance, training, and operations workstreams.
• Maintain status, issue, decision, change, and evidence records and escalate blockers before they affect submission or delivery readiness.
