About The Position
FuntoNetwork is seeking a Transit Construction Quality Inspector for the upcoming project opportunity: GoRaleigh Operations and Maintenance Facility Expansion. This role involves executing the full scope of a Transit Construction Quality Inspector, including inspecting civil, structural, MEP, equipment, and commissioning work. The inspector will be responsible for documenting deficiencies and acceptance evidence, preparing compliance and inspection plans, reviewing submittmittals and results against the approved baseline, and recording defects and corrective actions in a traceable register. Verification of corrective actions and submission of acceptance recommendations with complete evidence packages are key duties. The role also requires tracing assigned work to the RFP scope, requirements, and deliverables, reviewing solicitation materials, preparing technical inputs and quality records, coordinating with various project workstreams, and maintaining status and issue records while escalating blockers.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience performing Transit Construction Quality Inspector responsibilities in public-sector, regulated, enterprise, or comparable environments.
- Ability to produce complete, reviewable work products tied to requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Strong documentation, stakeholder coordination, risk awareness, confidentiality, and deadline discipline.
- Relevant licenses, certifications, clearances, insurance, or local delivery capacity when required by the solicitation.
Responsibilities
- Execute the Transit Construction Quality Inspector scope for GoRaleigh Operations and Maintenance Facility Expansion.
- Inspect civil, structural, MEP, equipment, and commissioning work; document deficiencies and acceptance evidence.
- Prepare the role-specific compliance, inspection, test, or assurance plan with checkpoints, sampling, evidence, and pass/fail criteria.
- Review the applicable controls, submittals, configurations, records, and field or system results against the solicitation and approved baseline.
- Record defects, exceptions, severity, ownership, corrective actions, and due dates in a traceable findings register.
- Verify corrective actions through retest or reinspection and submit the signed acceptance recommendation with the complete evidence package.
- Trace assigned work to the RFP scope, requirement or RTM row, deliverable, dependency, acceptance criterion, schedule milestone, and supporting evidence.
- Review official solicitation materials and addenda affecting this workstream; document assumptions, open items, exclusions, risks, and required client decisions.
- Prepare role-specific technical inputs, work products, estimates, implementation details, quality records, and proposal or post-award delivery evidence.
- Coordinate interfaces and handoffs with project management, business analysis, technical, field, quality, compliance, training, and operations workstreams.
- Maintain status, issue, decision, change, and evidence records and escalate blockers before they affect submission or delivery readiness.
