About The Position

Swift Transportation is seeking a Transit Coordinator to assign loads to trucks and support customer needs while balancing capacity, demand, and profitability for an assigned region. The role reviews market conditions and freight needs, coordinates with customer accounts and sales, and identifies opportunities to reduce waste and improve operations. The position is scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with an hourly pay range of $22–$28.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in Operations, Planning, and/or Customer Accounts.
Ability to work in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.
Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Ability to persuade and influence others.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor employment visas.

Responsibilities

Provide creative solutions to exceed customer expectations.
Assign loads based on customer requirements, driver availability, and maximum profitability for the assigned region.
Review markets, check over- or under-capacity, and check freight needs with Customer Accounts daily.
Determine the balance, capacity, and demand of loads and trucks, and assign loads to trucks.
Increase understanding of assigned markets and customers and share findings with sales and/or customer account employees.
Review reports, identify waste opportunities, and collaborate with sales and/or customer accounts to develop optimal solutions.
