About The Position

The Transfer Team employee unloads delivery trucks, stages merchandise, and loads merchandise for transfer to other locations. The role requires learning merchandise quickly and ensuring all received merchandise is labeled and scanned accurately for inventory. The employee checks daily assignments, assists other warehouse departments as needed, and provides excellent customer relations to internal and external customers. Other duties may be assigned by management. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. This is a safety-sensitive position. The work may occasionally involve hot or cold temperatures and wet or humid conditions. The role involves frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and constant lifting of up to 30 pounds, along with a range of other physical activities.

Requirements

Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise weighing 50 pounds.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Positive attitude when working with customers.
Knowledge of employment and safety procedures.
Ability to perform the physical activities required for the job, including stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening, and repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

Unload delivery trucks.
Place merchandise in the proper staging area.
Quickly gain knowledge of merchandise.
Load trucks with merchandise for transfer to other locations.
Label and scan all merchandise received using scan guns to ensure an accurate inventory count.
Check daily assignments and responsibilities.
Assist other warehouse departments as needed.
Maintain excellent customer relations with external and internal customers.
Perform other duties as directed by management.
