About The Position

The role involves managing commercial real estate transactions from Letter of Intent (LOI) through closing, providing practical legal advice, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the State of Texas.
  • 3–6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases.
  • Experience handling acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate.
  • Proficiency in preparing and negotiating: Purchase and Sale Agreements, Lease Amendments, Estoppel Certificates, Subordination, Non-Disturbance, and Attornment Agreements (SNDAs), Closing Documents.
  • Ability to independently manage the full transaction lifecycle.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial, office, medical office building (MOB), or healthcare-related real estate transactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Experience working in a collaborative law firm environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial lease agreements.
  • Handle acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets.
  • Prepare and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, amendments, estoppel certificates, SNDAs, and other transaction-related documents.
  • Manage commercial real estate transactions from Letter of Intent (LOI) through closing.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and identify potential transactional risks.
  • Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate successful closings.
  • Provide practical legal advice and strategic guidance throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
