About The Position

The Training Supervisor oversees the general management of employees assigned to production areas at a BioLife Plasma Services center. The role monitors training needs, ensures cross-training and annual recertification are completed, reviews Quality Control Records, and coordinates new employee orientation. The supervisor also manages production-area operations, supports employee performance and compliance with quality standards, addresses escalated donor and employee concerns with management, and counsels hourly staff on operational, safety, and customer-service matters. The position reports to the Center Manager. The role is eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) certification.
Ability to bend and reach frequently; walk and stand for the entire shift; frequently lift up to 32 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Fine motor coordination and depth perception, and ability to monitor equipment from a distance.
Ability to wear gloves for prolonged periods because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

Monitor center training needs and ensure completion of cross-training and annual recertification training.
Review Quality Control Records.
Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and participate in the hiring process.
Manage the production area and motivate employees to meet performance goals and comply with company quality standards and procedures.
Consult and refer escalated donor or employee concerns to the management team.
Counsel hourly staff on operational, safety, and customer-service concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
