This position plays a key role in designing, coordinating, delivering, and maintaining impactful training programs that support employee development and operational success. The Training Specialist will partner closely with departments across the organization to ensure training initiatives meet both organizational and production needs through effective delivery, collaboration, and measurable results.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma
  • Five plus years related training experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability in creation of learning objectives using a variety of learning/design techniques

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training, Human Resources or related field; equivalent work experience will be considered

Responsibilities

  • Determine Training needs: Collaborates with department and project managers to determine training needs for new product, application, or equipment launches
  • Design, develop, and implement training programs and materials
  • Determine appropriate training solutions and learning interventions (i.e., traditional, blended, new, and emerging design principles and concepts) based on Training Needs Assessment (TNA)
  • Define learning objectives and design appropriate methods for accomplishing those objectives
  • Ensure that solutions or interventions are feasible
  • Modify design as needed due to continuous improvement and changes in business practices
  • Spend significant time on the production floor observing manufacturing processes, documenting standard work procedures, and partnering closely with operators and subject matter experts to support effective training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to organizational branding standards for material creation
  • Modify training materials as needed due to continuous improvement and changes in business practices
  • Communicates with departments to introduce launch training classes
  • Conduct assigned training sessions
  • Make modifications to course design and documentation as needed
  • Participate and conduct cross-training initiatives
  • Measure the effectiveness of training programs
  • Design appropriate documentation and methods to serve as evidence of learning
