About The Position

The Training Specialist is responsible for delivering, coordinating, and developing comprehensive training programs across the organization—with a strong emphasis on carbon fiber production skills. This role plays a critical part in onboarding, cross-training, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance, partnering closely with Training Developers, Production, Quality, Engineering, and HR. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and passionate about training others in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in training in a production environment with a strong desire to train others.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Team player, ready and able to jump in and assist where needed.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-On experience in composite laminating or technical productions processes.
  • Experience with LMS platforms
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Lead training for new hires and existing employees in production areas, with a strong emphasis on carbon fiber production techniques, quality standards and adhering to SOPs.
  • Reinforce best practices with entry-level production employees and provide continuous coaching to enforce a quality work ethic and skills progression.
  • Evaluate new employees’ performance during training, maintaining accurate checklists and documentation providing feedback to the Training Manager, Quality Team and Department Supervisors and Leads.
  • Collaborate with the Training Manager and Production Supervisors to align training with operational needs and skill gaps.
  • Provide feedback to the Training Manager and Department Supervisors regarding training gaps and suggestions for improvements.
  • Assist in updating and translating department specific training materials including SOPs, TTs and other Job Aids.
  • Assist the content developers in designing structured onboarding programs for all departments, with tiered technical development pathways for hourly employees.
  • Assist in developing and refining training content in collaboration with subject matter experts and training developers to support new product launches or process changes.
  • Propose improvements to training content and delivery methods based on feedback, performance data, and quality audits.
  • Assist in managing training records, schedules, and materials using the companies Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Ensure that all required trainings are delivered and documented in compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g. AS9100, ITAR).
  • Facilitate training audits, generate reports and track progress of required trainings.
  • Perform cross-training with other Training Specialists and with Content Development Specialists.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
