About The Position

McElroy Manufacturing is a mid-size family-owned company looking for a Training Specialist to perform a variety of tasks in relation to the development and growth of McElroy University. McElroy University focus is primarily customer facing providing training and education to our distributors, end users, and the industry at large. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as a team-oriented approach. The successful candidate will have experience working with end users and industry partners. They will also work at continued development of the McElroy University program and operational activities.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Practical experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems preferred.
Demonstrable experience with public speaking or training either in-house or to outside customers.
Ability to schedule, organize, and conduct training classes of (10) or more people both in-house and in the field.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint preferred.
Able to secure personal credit cards for use in business travel with a credit limit of $3,000.
Valid Driver’s License and minimum liability insurance on personal vehicle as required by law.
Ability and willingness to travel outside of Oklahoma as needed to provide training, product support, etc.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and extra time as-needed basis (involving extra hours during the week, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays and Holidays).

Nice To Haves

College degree preferred.
A degree, certificate, or other credential from an industry, trade, or technical school is beneficial.
Specialized industry-related training courses will also be considered beneficial.

Responsibilities

Teach and/or facilitate all aspects of McElroy University training including, but not limited to, equipment operations, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting & repair, and other related topics. Includes both lecture presentations and hands-on with equipment. Includes training conducted at our facilities in Tulsa, and at locations throughout the USA and Canada
Represent McElroy University at industry trade shows as needed.
Support product launches through in-field training and product deliveries
Participate in the development of videos, photographs, and other collateral material in the operation, maintenance, and overhaul of fusion equipment including script writing, set-up, and demonstration.
Assist with the regular maintenance of training content to insure it is current and correct
Utilize the Corporate CRM System (Salesforce.com) for accessing, and maintaining accurate student records, communication, etc.
Promote safety, practice safe work habits, and comply with safety policies at all times.
Prepare for and actively participate in all departmental meetings.
Maintain a friendly "Service" oriented philosophy with co-workers, other departments, and customers.
Practice and promote good housekeeping measures and support all company efforts to comply with OSHA and environmental regulations.
Maintain continuing knowledge of and familiarity with computer software and upgrades utilizing Company provided training or through continued education courses offered by schools or organizations.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
