About The Position

As a Training & Safety Coordinator at THE BEASLEY GROUP, your main goal is to make sure everyone stays safe and knows what they’re doing. You’ll be the go-to person for all things safety and training, helping our team stay on top of their game and follow the rules. You’ll be the one who makes sure everyone knows how to use equipment safely and keeps track of certifications and training programs. Your role is super important because it helps keep everyone safe and ensures our company runs smoothly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience managing safety programs, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Familiarity with OSHA record-keeping and compliance.
  • Experience conducting forklift training and certifications.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement certification programs in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Experience in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong computer skills for managing records and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple programs and certifications.
  • Effective communication skills for training and safety presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English for effective communication with diverse workforce.
  • Familiarity with additional safety management software or tools.
  • Ability to engage and motivate employees in safety training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Lock Out Tag Out program to ensure equipment is safely shut down and maintained.
  • Keep detailed OSHA records to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct forklift training and certifications to ensure safe operation of machinery.
  • Develop and maintain certification programs according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Utilize your knowledge of SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) development to create clear and effective procedures.
  • Use computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to create reports and presentations.
  • Communicate effectively, especially if you’re bi-lingual in Spanish and English, to reach a wider range of employees and ensure everyone understands safety protocols.
