About The Position

Kenly 95 Petro is hiring for a Manager Trainee role designed to prepare candidates with supervisory or management experience for a future leadership position. The training program provides hands-on experience in leading teams, managing shifts, overseeing travel-center operations, delivering customer service, handling financial processes, solving operational problems, and maintaining safety and compliance. Participants learn alongside experienced managers and leaders and are expected to complete the program and take on increasing responsibility. The role is on-site at Kenly 95 Petro and is described as a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Starting pay is $20 per hour.

Requirements

Some supervisory, team leadership, or management experience.
Strong communication skills with team members and customers, including the ability to give clear direction and resolve issues constructively.
Motivation, adaptability, and eagerness to learn from experienced leaders.
A customer-centric mindset and commitment to creating positive guest experiences.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and commitment to completing the training program.

Responsibilities

Learn to lead, motivate, and coach team members, manage shifts, improve team performance, and support a positive work environment.
Train in daily facility operations, including fuel services, retail operations, inventory management, and safety protocols.
Work with the management team to address customer feedback and complaints and provide an exceptional customer experience.
Learn to manage budgets, balance cash registers, control costs, monitor revenue, and support financial targets and operational efficiency.
Develop decision-making and problem-solving skills through real-world operational scenarios, including staff and customer issues.
Learn and follow safety and compliance standards to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
