A Training Manager is responsible for designing, developing and implementing training programs that improve employee performance, productivity, and organizational effectiveness. This role assesses training needs, creates learning strategies, and ensures employees have the knowledge and skills required to perform their roles successfully. The Training Manager works closely with department leaders, quality, operations and leadership teams to support workforce development and continuous learning initiatives.

Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience in training, learning and development, or organizational development.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Training program design and curriculum development
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement site training strategies and programs.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps.
  • Design training curricula, materials, and learning modules.
  • Create onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
  • Develop leadership and professional development programs.
  • Deploy Covalent software application for OJT training.
  • Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Coordinate virtual and in-person training sessions.
  • Manage external trainers or training vendors when necessary.
  • Ensure training content remains current with industry standards and company policies.
  • Administer and manage Covalent application.
  • Track employee training completion and certifications.
  • Maintain training records and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.
  • Partner with department managers to support employee development.
  • Evaluate training programs and implement improvements.
  • Analyze training results to measure return on investment.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees and managers.
