About The Position

This role focuses on the development of training courseware using the ADDIE model and Adult Learning Theory, in accordance with NGPEC Standard Operating Procedures. The specialist will be involved in all phases of the ADDIE model, from analysis and design to development and evaluation. This includes facilitating Critical Task Selection Boards (CTSSBs) and Course Design Review Boards to identify learning objectives and design effective instructional methods. The role requires close collaboration with subject matter experts, the creation of various training support packages, and ensuring all materials align with Army regulations and policies. The specialist will also be responsible for developing and revising assessment plans and ensuring all final products are uploaded to the Army's repository. Continuous evaluation and recommendation of improvements to training materials and processes are essential. A Weekly Activity Report is required.

Requirements

  • Required to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Ability to Complete the Instructor Writer Workshop.
  • Ability to Complete Training Development Qualification Courses required by the NGPEC FSDB SOP.
  • Experience in Training Development and Instructional Coordination.
  • Experience in Military Training and Leadership.

  • A minimum of two years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Leadership in ARNG Full Time Manning at any State.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the ADDIE model and Adult Learning Theory to develop training courseware.
  • Facilitate Critical Task Selection Boards (CTSSBs) to identify critical tasks that become learning objectives.
  • Design, develop, and obtain NGPEC validation for courses based on approved critical task lists.
  • Facilitate Course Design Review Boards to design courses using creative instructional methods aligned with adult learning principles and the Army Learning Concept for Training and Education.
  • Develop course materials, learning activities, and organize course content.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to identify training resource requirements.
  • Submit all training materials for review and approval.
  • Develop Training Support Packages in NGPEC SOP directed formats.
  • Design precise learning objectives detailing expected student performance, learning environment, and standards.
  • Create course maps identifying the sequence of training and course lengths.
  • Create and recommend formal and informal evaluation plans.
  • Create/revise and recommend the Individual Student Assessment Plan (ISAP) for each course.
  • Turn approved design outputs into completed and approved products for upload within the Army current repository.
  • Develop and recommend Training Support Packages including all courseware required to conduct training.
  • Continuously review, evaluate, and recommend changes based on educational soundness, application, and improvement of doctrinal literature, publications, educational policies, and instructional systems.
  • Submit a Weekly Activity Report.
