About The Position

The Training & Development Manager at Cowen Rodriguez Peacock will play a crucial role in shaping the firm's learning infrastructure. This position is vital for developing an effective, firm-wide training strategy that ensures all team members, from attorneys to administrative staff, receive consistent and impactful learning experiences. By collaborating with legal experts and firm leaders, you will develop programs that not only support individual professional growth but also strengthen the firm's ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for its clients.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building and maintaining organizational learning and development programs, with strong instructional design skills and a practical understanding of adult-learning principles.
  • Skilled at partnering with subject-matter experts to uncover key knowledge, gather meaningful insights, and turn their expertise into practical, well-structured training programs.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate engaging learning experiences and communicate training concepts clearly across roles and teams.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, processes, and professional environments is preferred, with the ability to quickly understand complex subject matter and incorporate it into relevant training.
  • Strong ability to organize complex information, manage multiple learning initiatives, and build structured, scalable programs that remain useful, accessible, and current as the firm evolves.
  • Thrives in an in-office role where collaboration and direct engagement with colleagues are integral to success.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a comprehensive firm-wide learning and development program that identifies training gaps, creates consistent role-based learning and onboarding experiences, supports continuing education, and keeps training relevant, current, and effective.
  • Transform complex information into engaging, practical learning experiences by creating and maintaining training across multiple formats, improving existing Trainual content, and ensuring employees have clear, accessible resources that support their success.
  • Partner with attorneys and internal subject-matter experts to capture specialized legal and case-strategy knowledge, then turn those insights into structured, effective training programs that reinforce the firm’s litigation philosophy and standards.
  • Help drive the successful rollout of the firm’s new case management system by developing role-specific training, preparing employees for new workflows, supporting adoption, and keeping training current as the system evolves.
  • Work closely with firm leadership, attorneys, and other subject-matter experts to uncover critical institutional knowledge, identify what teams need to learn, and translate that expertise into scalable training that strengthens performance across the firm.
