About The Position

Responsible for developing and maintaining a robust educational program for all departments that register patients within the organization. Support all relevant departments in order to maintain quality registrations, meet competencies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a hospital setting, ideally including managed care, financial counseling, registration or billing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of registration/admission requirements and/or accounts receivable processes, billing requirements and managed care issues.
  • Able to assume responsibility and work independently.
  • Experienced and proficient in the use of computers to include a variety of software programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point etc).

Nice To Haves

  • Related college education preferred.

  • Communicate inter- and intra- departmentally in an effective manner to achieve desired results.
  • Communicate patient access, managed-care and revenue cycle topics to groups or individuals, focusing on achieving accuracy and compliance of all related topics.
  • Resolve concerns or issues with departments and staff.
  • Participate in problem-solving discussions effectively.
