About The Position

The Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging training, developing effective learning materials, and simplifying processes to support consistency across the organization. This role partners with business units to translate complex procedures into clear, practical guidance, ensuring employees are equipped to perform their roles with confidence and accuracy. This position supports compliance-related training initiatives and reinforces organizational culture by embedding company values into training, helping employees understand not only how processes work, but why they matter.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Banking experience (retail, lending, operations, or related area).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience facilitating training or presenting to groups.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance training concepts.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or eLearning tools.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate instructor-led training (in-person and virtual) across systems, products, procedures, and compliance-related topics.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning environments that encourage participation and retention.
  • Adapt training delivery to meet the needs of diverse audiences and varying experience levels.
  • Reinforce organizational values, expectations, and key concepts through real-life scenarios and practical application.
  • Design and develop training materials, including presentations, job aids, guides, and eLearning modules.
  • Maintain and update training content to reflect changes in processes, systems, products, or regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure training accuracy and relevance.
  • Document procedures in clear, step-by-step formats that are easy to follow and implement.
  • Translate complex workflows into simplified, user-friendly resources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clarity, efficiency, and consistency across processes.
  • Facilitate and enhance new employee onboarding programs to ensure a consistent and engaging experience.
  • Reinforce organizational history, mission, vision, and values throughout onboarding and training initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership and departments to identify training needs and recommend learning strategies.
  • Lead or support training for new products, systems, process changes, and regulatory updates.
  • Anticipate training gaps and prepare employees for change through proactive communication and education.
  • Promote consistency in training, processes, and employee experience across all locations.
  • Serve as a resource to employees by providing guidance on procedures, tools, and compliance expectations.
  • Utilize learning systems (LMS, intranet, etc.) to assign, track, and communicate training.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, participation, and performance trends.
  • Continuously improve training content, delivery methods, and supporting materials.
  • Support a culture of accountability, consistency, and service through practical and accessible training.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support organizational objectives.
