About The Position

The Trainer is responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This involves assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and providing instruction on proper equipment usage. Key duties include scheduling and conducting PE@PF classes, consulting with members on fitness goals, instructing on equipment use, and promoting class sign-ups. The role also requires creating bi-weekly exercise updates and meeting class requirements based on club size and member traffic. Additionally, the Trainer will assist with front desk activities such as answering phones, checking members in, new member sign-ups, conducting club tours, and updating member account information. They are expected to respond to member questions and concerns professionally, escalating issues to a Team Lead, MIT, or Club Manager when necessary, and contribute to maintaining the overall neatness and cleanliness of the club.

  • Completed fitness trainer certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
  • Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to use the equipment properly and safely.
  • Create creative and unique ways to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
  • Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
  • Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
  • Assist in front desk related activities including: Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
  • Check members into the system.
  • New member sign-up.
  • Take potential members on tours.
  • Changing/updating member account information.
  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Team Lead, MIT or Club Manager as needed.
  • Help maintain the neatness/cleanliness of the club.
  • Assist in cleanliness and appearance of club.
