About The Position

The Trainer is responsible for managing the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This involves assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and providing instruction on proper equipment usage. Key duties include scheduling and conducting PE@PF classes, consulting with members on fitness goals, and ensuring safe and correct equipment use. The role also requires creative promotion of PE@PF class sign-ups, developing bi-weekly exercise updates, and meeting class requirements based on club size and member traffic. Additionally, the Trainer will assist with front desk operations such as answering phones, member check-ins, new member sign-ups, club tours, updating member account information, and addressing member inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to a Team Lead, MIT, or Club Manager when necessary. Maintaining the overall neatness and cleanliness of the club is also an essential part of this position.

  • Completed fitness trainer certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
  • Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to use the equipment properly and safely.
  • Creating creative and unique ways to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
  • Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
  • Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
  • Assist in front desk related activities including: Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
  • Check members into the system.
  • New member sign-up.
  • Take potential members on tours.
  • Changing/updating member account information
  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Team Lead, MIT or Club Manager as needed.
  • Help maintain the neatness/cleanliness of the club.
  • Assist in cleanliness and appearance of club.
