About The Position

As a Trained Medication Aide (TMA), you will administer medication in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and standards of practice under the supervision of a registered or licensed nurse. You will also provide residents with direct care, including Activities of Daily Living (ADL), and accurately obtain and record vital signs and blood sugar readings. The role includes serving as a mandated vulnerable adult reporter. You must report alleged maltreatment, neglect, or abuse of vulnerable residents or tenants to your supervisor and appropriate state agencies. You must also be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of a Nursing Assistant Registered.

Requirements

TMA Certificate.
Nursing Assistant training.
Current registration on the Minnesota Aide Registry.
Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of a Nursing Assistant Registered.

Responsibilities

Administer medication according to applicable law, rules, and standards of practice under the supervision of a registered or licensed nurse.
Provide direct resident care, including Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
Accurately obtain and record residents’ vital signs and blood sugar readings.
Document resident care and medication distribution concisely and accurately.
Use correct body mechanics to support the safety of employees and residents.
Implement and oversee best practices and guidelines.
Communicate effectively with residents, co-workers, and supervisors.
Report alleged maltreatment, neglect, or abuse of vulnerable residents or tenants to a supervisor and appropriate state agencies.
Perform the essential duties and responsibilities of a Nursing Assistant Registered.
Demonstrate dependability in performing tasks and duties and in attendance.
