About The Position

Holland Farms Senior Living, an Agemark Senior Living community in Norwalk, Iowa, is seeking a part-time Medication Aide to support residents’ safety, comfort, and well-being. The role administers medications in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and applicable regulations; records medication administration electronically; monitors residents for changes or concerns; and reports observations promptly. The Medication Aide also assists with personal care and daily activities while promoting residents’ dignity and independence, builds positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers, and helps create a warm, welcoming environment. Requirements

Meet applicable Iowa Medication Aide certification and training requirements.
Follow medication administration procedures carefully and maintain accurate documentation.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, and team members.
Have basic computer skills and comfort using electronic systems for medication tracking and documentation.
Have a genuine passion for helping older adults.
Be dependable and available to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Safely administer medications according to physician orders, care plans, and applicable regulations.
Accurately document medication administration using electronic medication records.
Observe residents for changes in condition, medication side effects, or other concerns and report them promptly.
Assist residents with personal care and daily activities while promoting dignity and independence.
Develop positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Help create a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued and supported.
