About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Trailer and SRI Repair Specialist to maintain its trailers and Ford and GMC trucks and keep its fleet in top condition. The role uses U-Haul proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. U-Haul provides the tools needed for the job and offers on-the-job learning from experienced team members, along with a Technician Training Program that includes Ford, GM, and U-Haul classes. The work includes production-line duties and may involve working around moving machinery, fumes, or chemicals, with safety gear as required. The position is based at 2700 McCree Rd, Garland, Texas 75041. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. Requirements

Basic mechanical aptitude.
A driver’s license.
Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
Basic computer skills.
Regular attendance.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of repair experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Secure trailers on lifts and dollies.
Perform tire and brake maintenance.
Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
Dismount, balance, and mount tires.
Occasionally road-test vehicles.
Work on a production line.
Use U-Haul proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklists.
Willingly assist in additional areas as necessary, following supervisor directives and guidance.
