About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Trailer and SRI Repair Specialist to maintain its fleet of trailers and Ford and GMC trucks. The role uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. The company provides tools, on-the-job learning, and a Technician Training Program that includes Ford, GM, and U-Haul classes. The work may take place on a production line, and team members are expected to assist in other areas as directed by their supervisor.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Driver’s license.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of repair experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure trailers on lifts and dollies.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
• Dismount, balance, and mount tires.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Work on a production line.
• Use U-Haul’s proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklist.
• Assist in additional areas as necessary, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
