About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Trailer and SRI Repair Specialist to maintain its fleet of trailers and Ford and GMC trucks. The role uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. The company provides the tools needed for the job, on-the-job learning from experienced team members, and opportunities to develop through its Technician Training Program, including Ford, GM, and U-Haul classes. The position is located at 965 Springhill Ave, Mobile, Alabama 36604. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. U-Haul does not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in Alabama. A paid hands-on working interview is offered, along with a $100 hiring bonus.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Driver’s license.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of repair experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure trailers on lifts and dollies.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
• Dismount, balance, and mount tires.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Work on a production line.
• Use proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklists.
• Willingly assist in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of a supervisor.
