About The Position
This position provides routine and project maintenance to increase the lifespan and reliability of Mid-States Concrete Industries’ production trailers. The role involves inspecting, evaluating, and making minor repairs to non-DOT yard trailers, as well as maintaining records of trailer inventory, defects, repair needs, and completed repairs. The work is based at Mid States Concrete Industries in South Beloit, Illinois, and is scheduled for the first shift.
Requirements
- Able to work outdoors year-round.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable standing, lifting, and kneeling, and working on narrow surfaces for up to 10 hours a day.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and evaluate non-DOT yard trailers.
- Make minor trailer repairs, including replacing decking and cross-bracing and repairing gladhands and fifth wheels.
- Maintain trailer inventory records documenting defects, repair needs, and completed repairs.
