About The Position

Central Transport is seeking a Trailer Tech to help maintain its fleet of trailers and related equipment. The role performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to trailers, containers, and chassis, including work on tires, lights, landing gear, and frames.

Central Transport is a large Less-Than-Truckload transportation carrier operating across the United States and Canada. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience.
• A basic set of tools.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Repair damage to containers, trailers, and chassis, including repairing tears on container sides.
• Replace lights.
• Perform tire repairs.
• Repair landing gear.
• Repair frames.
