About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Trailer and SRI Repair Specialist to maintain trailers and Ford and GMC trucks in its fleet. The specialist uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. The role offers on-the-job learning and access to U-Haul’s Technician Training Program, including classes from Ford, GM, and U-Haul. U-Haul provides the tools needed for the job and a tool purchase program. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Driver’s license.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of repair experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure trailers on lifts and dollies.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
• Dismount, balance, and mount tires.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Work on a production line.
• Use proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklists.
• Willingly assist in additional areas as needed, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
