About The Position

Traffic Control Attendant supporting Sunday morning services at Progressive Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. The role is the first point of contact for churchgoers and helps provide a smooth, welcoming arrival by keeping vehicles moving safely and efficiently throughout the parking areas. The position is an outdoor, active role requiring the attendant to remain on their feet and work in various weather conditions. The scheduled shift is Sundays from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM, at $22 per hour.

Requirements

• Dependable and punctual.
• Comfortable directing traffic and being on their feet for 6+ hours.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communicator with a calm, courteous demeanor.

Nice To Haves

• Prior traffic or event control experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicle flow into, out of, and around the church parking areas.
• Maintain a safe environment for drivers and pedestrians.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members.
• Monitor traffic patterns and adjust as needed.
