About The Position

Traffic Control Attendants support Sunday morning services at a church in Chicago, Illinois. They are the first point of contact for arriving churchgoers and help create a smooth, welcoming experience by ensuring vehicles move safely and efficiently throughout the parking areas. The role is an outdoor, active position scheduled Sundays from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM, paying $22 per hour.

Requirements

• Dependable and punctual.
• Comfortable directing traffic and being on their feet for 6+ hours.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communicator with a calm, courteous demeanor.

Nice To Haves

• Prior traffic or event control experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicle flow into, out of, and around the church parking areas.
• Maintain a safe environment for drivers and pedestrians.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members.
• Monitor traffic patterns and adjust as needed.
• Represent the church with positivity, patience, and professionalism.
