About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Traffic Clerk to check trucks in and out at the security gate entrance and coordinate shipping and receiving activity. The role schedules truck deliveries and pickups; works with customer service, client representatives, and trucking-company representatives and drivers to maintain high service levels; coordinates drivers, equipment, and freight; and ensures shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time.

The position is an on-site AM day shift, 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., rotating on a 3-2-2 schedule. Starting pay is $22.25 per hour. A $1.00-per-hour weekend differential applies to Saturday and Sunday shifts worked.

Requirements

• One year of experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations and capacity.
• Meet or exceed service and efficiency standards for shipping and receiving.
• Ensure shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading (B.O.L.), are accurate.
• Assist customers and customer representatives at the dispatch window.
• Gather and maintain data and records related to shipping and receiving activities.
• Maintain legible and accurate records and logs as required.
• Assist in training new associates.
• Assist in maintaining facility security.
• Keep the facility dock door control board accurate.
• Conduct operations safely and report unsafe conditions that cannot be self-corrected to the warehouse supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area in accordance with company housekeeping standards.
• Interact politely and in a service-oriented manner with customer representatives and fellow associates.
• Check trucks in and out at the security gate entrance.
• Coordinate drivers, equipment, and freight.
