Tradesperson Associate
About The Position
Provides a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment by refreshing spaces throughout the healthcare system under a supervisor’s direction. Under the guidance of a tradesperson lead in a specialty area, participates in building management and construction projects, including new builds and refresh efforts involving carpentry, flooring installation, painting, and drywall repair. Work is generally performed as part of a team, though independent work may also be required. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work expected of qualified candidates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of relevant experience.
- Valid State of Michigan driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and collaborate with supervisors, tradesperson leads, construction trades, and subcontractors to support quality, timely, cost-effective construction and coordinated services.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and services on general building features under the guidance of a tradesperson lead.
- Measure, cut, and install related items using hand and power tools.
- Document procedures and completed work accurately and promptly.
- Assist with reviewing project blueprints, developing estimates, placing orders, and preparing construction sites for installation, replacement, or repair.
- Care for, maintain, and safely use equipment and supplies; keep work areas orderly, clean, and safe.
