Tracking Architecture Performance Engineer - Senior Member of Technical Staff

The Aerospace Corporation•Huntsville, AL
•$110,400 - $193,500•Onsite

About The Position

The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Senior Member of Technical Staff or Engineering Specialist for its Tracking Architecture Performance Department (TAPD), part of the Enterprise Effects Division’s Integrated Performance Subdivision. TAPD conducts model-based analyses of tracking performance across architecture scenarios in nominal and contested environments, supporting concept development, engineering analysis, algorithm development, and evaluation of single- and multi-INT architectures. Its mission areas include missile defense, space domain awareness, and surveillance, with sensor technologies including radar, electro-optical, infrared, electronic warfare, SIGINT, and GEOINT. In this role, you will contribute to modeling, simulation, and analysis projects with department staff and engineering teams across the corporation. The work evaluates complex, multi-domain system-of-systems architectures and tracking performance, develops and optimizes tracking and sensor-fusion algorithms, and creates simulation approaches, models, computational tools, performance metrics, and visualizations. The analyses help customers assess system performance, identify capability gaps, evaluate vulnerability and resiliency, and improve architectural designs. This is a full-time position requiring 100% onsite work in El Segundo, Colorado Springs, Huntsville, or Chantilly. Occasional travel and/or work outside business hours may be needed to support customers. A current and active TS/SCI clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a clearance. The listed annual pay range is $110,400–$193,500, with individual compensation based on factors including education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
