The Tracking Architecture Performance Engineer/Senior Tracking Architecture Performance Engineer is a technical role in The Aerospace Corporation’s Tracking Architecture Performance Department (TAPD), within the Integrated Performance Subdivision of the Enterprise Effects Division. TAPD performs model-based analyses of tracking performance across architecture scenarios in nominal and contested environments, with a focus on missile defense, space domain awareness, and surveillance architectures. The work supports decision-makers in understanding system capabilities, identifying performance gaps, and optimizing architectural designs. The role leads and performs modeling, simulation, and analysis of complex system-of-systems architectures, particularly tracking performance assessment and optimization. It evaluates multi-domain architectures and scenarios involving space, air, maritime, and ground components, and multi-INT sensors such as radar, EO/IR, SIGINT, and GEOINT. The engineer develops tracking and multi-sensor data-fusion algorithms and tools, serves as a technical expert and customer liaison, coordinates complex technical work, and ensures the quality of technical designs, presentations, reports, and other deliverables. This is a full-time position requiring 100% onsite work in El Segundo, California; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Huntsville, Alabama; or Chantilly, Virginia.
